Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Leasing to oversee our leasing operations in the yard spotter and trailer sector. The Director of Leasing will be responsible for developing and executing leasing strategies, managing leasing operations, and driving revenue growth through effective leasing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement leasing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
Manage and oversee all aspects of leasing operations, including lease negotiations, contracts, and renewals.
Guiding, directing and evaluating the work of sales and administrative activities resulting in efficient effective functions that support and achieve corporate goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and partners in the industry.
Develop a lease fleet in existing markets.
Lead a team of leasing professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote leasing services and generate leads.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Prepare and present leasing performance reports to senior management.
Tackling unforeseen issues and effectively and efficiently troubleshooting solutions.
Improve customer satisfaction by anticipating customer needs and implementing improvement strategies into the division’s practices.
Requirements:
Proven experience in leasing operations within the trucking or trailer industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Strategic thinker with a track record of developing and executing successful leasing strategies.
Knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
50% travel required
Karmak experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Leasing and Finance (CLFP) or similar credential.
Experience with lease management software and CRM systems.
