Your Career

Become a member of the Revenue Accounting team at Palo Alto Networks! We are seeking a highly motivated Revenue Manager who is excited to join a high growth Company. The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical thinking and communication skills. The candidate will be self-motivated with the ability to provide solutions for issues identified. The successful candidate is a competent individual with integrity, accountability, strong interpersonal skills, and a team player. This person will directly report to the Senior revenue Manager and closely work and manage the other members of the Revenue team.  The candidate will be responsible to perform revenue close accounting activities, lead transitions and projects, develop new processes and improve on the month-end close process. The position requires a hands-on person who is flexible, solutions-oriented and works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

 Your Impact 

  • Manage the revenue close and reporting processes, including the review of JEs, reconciliations, and other various reporting deliverables
  • Drive operational excellence by identifying, proposing, and leading process improvements to successful completion
  • Ensure compliance with SOX 404 key controls
  • Assist with external audits and special projects as needed
  • Develop strong cross-functional relationships with key business partners including AR, Technical Revenue, Finance, IT, Operations, etc. 

Qualifications

Your Experience 

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance, CA/CPA preferred or equivalent qualification or equivalent military experience required
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible experience at either a Big 4 public accounting firm or a global, publicly traded organization in a revenue role 
  • Excellent technical and operational knowledge of ASC 606
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills, ability to manage priorities and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment without losing sight of accuracy
  • Comprehensive understanding of quote to cash process
  • Strong self-starter who operates with proactively, high attention to details, and strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to diplomatically challenge the status quo
  • Experience with financial systems, SAP ERP ECC & RAR, BigQuery, Blackline, Tableau, and SFDC a plus
  • Project management experience a plus
  • Experience with high technology company in the Hardware, Software and/or SaaS space a plus

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $118000 - $191500/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
