Paralegals are a critical part of DLA Piper’s client service teams, working side by side with lawyers, co-counsel, and clients on an array of substantive client matters. Most of our paralegals are career professionals. They work independently and on teams, locally, nationally, and globally.
The paralegal team includes Case Assistants, Paralegals, Senior Paralegals, and Paralegal Specialists. What will your day look like?
The Paralegal reports to the Paralegal Manager and works under the direct supervision of an Associate and Senior Paralegal assisting with all aspects of corporate transactional work. The Paralegal prepares, tracks, and organizes signature pages on a daily basis; interacts with clients; prepares and compiles documents; coordinates the notarization and apostille process. The Paralegal must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and be comfortable working both independently and in a team environment.
As a Paralegal, you will assist with corporate documents and the qualification of corporations to do business in foreign jurisdictions. You will establish a tracking system for all signature requests and client follow-ups. You will assist with legal administrative work and projects as assigned by our Paralegal/Associate. You will also interact with client signatories and/or assistants and assist with the legalization, authentication, and apostille process for documents at the State Department and embassies. You will travel to and from the institutional client’s office to obtain signature pages. You will coordinate daily mailings via Federal Express.
Additionally, you will have the accurate entry of time into the Firm’s time entry system (Kronos) daily. You will prompt submission of weekly timesheets (InTapp) and you will comply with all Firm policies applicable to non-exempt staff.

In accordance with New York's Pay Transparency Law, pay range for this position, if hired to work in New York City is $75,000 - $95,000. The compensation offered to a candidate selected for employment will be dependent upon various factors, including the candidate’s geographic market, skills, educational and professional background, experience, and overall qualifications.
