About the Role

As our Partnerships Strategist, you will lead NewtonX’s external communications and partnerships strategy. This is an exciting opportunity for a communications leader who brings experience in PR, setting partnerships strategy and driving execution, and publishing branded thought leadership. You will own GTM strategy and success of our syndicated research product, NewtonX Current.


You will work closely with the Brand Manager to develop connected content strategy and campaigns across touchpoints to achieve business goals for NewtonX business services.


Responsibilities

You bring PR and comms expertise that will up-level our marketing team and by extension, the entire brand. This role is ideal for someone who has B2B experience in research and insights with a focus on Media, Tech, or Finance. You can demonstrate proven results in building something from scratch and are excited to craft a strong foundation for the NewtonX external narrative. 


Strategy

  • Understand the vision for NewtonX and weave it into a story that speaks to the needs of our target through thought leadership reports, press and external comms 
  • Draw connective threads between our complex web of content and align them to our messaging themes and campaigns 
  • Partner with Growth Marketing to turn the results of public partnerships, thought leadership and press mentions into demand gen marketing campaigns


PR

  • Cultivate a rich network of media relationships and partners across tech, financial services, and advertising
  • Define success metrics with PR partners and a path to collaboratively driving results
  • Establish KPIs and processes to measure, iterate, and optimize strategy
  • Run day-to-day PR agency management


NewtonX Current

  • Lead the strategy and editorial calendar for NewtonX Current
  • Manage multiple timelines, stakeholders, and budgets to transform project ideas into final reports, in line with business priorities
  • Liaise with internal teams to conduct custom primary research from concept to completion 


Partnerships

  • Cultivate relationships with Communities, Publishers, Agencies and Enterprise organizations to drive strategic partnerships with NewtonX
  • Evaluate opportunity ROIs, determine the best approaches, and formalize it into a framework
  • Manage opportunities from first conversation through contract, aligning to business goals


You are:

  • You bring PR, Comms, and Partnerships expertise that will up-level all the teams you collaborate with. 
  • A team player with a “do-er” mentality, with a mix of large company (operating at scale) and start-up (test & learn) experiences.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, high pressure environment, able to operate independently and enjoy being with the best of the best.
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills that enable your ability to effectively interface with leadership and cross functional teams. 
  • Have a start-up mindset: open to ideas coming from anyone, resilient, flexible, and motivated by big goals and challenges.
  • Strong problem solver with an analytical mind to derive data-driven insights, and drive results. Able to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs.
  • Experience working with B2B enterprise organizations or in a corporate environment in technology, business services, agency or a start-up environment is preferred.
