We then work to provide financing and the support needed to facilitate their transformational journeys to study or work abroad.

With student success at our core, we are now looking for a hands-on, entrepreneurial contractor to support and contribute to our student employment stream. This role involves partnering with our team to help international students secure employment opportunities and succeed in their career journey. Who you are

The Employment Specialist will play a key role in helping individuals secure job placements by offering tailored support, guidance, and resources throughout their job search process. You will engage directly with job seekers, employers, and internal teams to connect individuals with opportunities that align with their skills and career goals. Your primary focus will be on achieving successful job placements such as part-time jobs during their studies, internships, and post-graduate positions, while building and maintaining strong employer relationships.

What you will do

The primary outcome of this role is successfully placing students into jobs. Your key responsibility is to ensure they secure suitable employment opportunities. This includes:

  • Job Placement Support:
    • Provide one-on-one coaching to job seekers, assisting with job search strategies, resume building, interview preparation, and career counselling.
    • Match candidates with suitable job opportunities based on their skills and career goals.
    • Build and maintain relationships with employers to create job opportunities for candidates.
  • Job Search & Placement Tracking:
    • Track and maintain accurate records of job seekers’ progress, ensuring they are actively applying and advancing toward placement.
    • Analyze placement outcomes to identify trends, assess the effectiveness of strategies, and adjust approaches to meet placement targets.
    • Prepare and share regular reports on placement progress and metrics with internal stakeholders.
  • Employer Engagement:
    • Develop and nurture relationships with employers to understand their hiring needs and promote job seekers from our pool of candidates.
    • Act as the liaison between job seekers and employers to ensure a smooth hiring process.
  • Workshops and Training:
    • Conduct workshops, webinars, and training sessions on employability skills, including resume writing, interview techniques, and professional networking.
    • Provide group and individualized training to enhance candidates’ job readiness and improve placement outcomes.
