Our client is searching for a dedicated professional to join our team as an Internal Controls Analyst focused on A-123 compliance. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the organization's adherence to internal controls in accordance with OMB Circular A-123, which is vital for effective financial management and accountability. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments of existing internal controls and identify areas for improvement to comply with A-123 requirements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to internal control processes, including risk assessments and control activities.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on internal control policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the implementation of effective controls and monitor compliance with established guidelines.
  • Prepare detailed reports on internal control evaluation findings, presenting them to management for review.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and advisory teams as needed to facilitate audits and reviews.
  • Stay current with best practices, regulations, and standards related to internal controls and compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in internal controls, compliance, or auditing.
  • Strong understanding of OMB Circular A-123 and related regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in risk assessment and internal control evaluation.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools.
  • Certification such as CPA, CIA, or CISA is a plus.
  • Current Public Trust or Public Trust eligible.
