JOB TITLE:
PIT Operator

Core Description:
To support internal warehousing, distribution operations. Distribution Operations include but are not limited to: process inbound inventory receipts, efficiently process customer and consumer orders and support external storage and assembly requirements through accurate completion of inventory transactions, timely material movement and safe operation of all material handling equipment. The PIT Operator is to ensure that each order has been properly picked, staged, and loaded to meet customer requirements properly.
Key Responsibilities:
Meet or exceed labor standards/KPIs.
Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement.
Must work with respect to the safety rules and procedures defined by Coty.
Efficiently and accurately receive, transport, pick, or label cartons and shipments based on customer shipping requirements.
Transfer inventory from storage locations throughout the facility, following the procedures outlined to ensure accurate inventory transfers Load containers based on customer requirements detailed on dock placard. Unloading containers in an efficient manner to expedite the receiving process Perform BOSS audits as required. Other duties as assigned. Key Indicators Safety Quality Efficiency Service
Application Pre-Requisites:
High School graduate or equivalent
Previous PIT driving experience
Ability to achieve forklift certification
HAZMAT certification preferred
Must be able to read and follow detailed instructions and procedures, and effectively communicate in both verbal and written formats.
Special Skills Required:
Knowledge:
Prior experience with RF equipment required.
Prior PIT experience required to include reach or standup equipment.
Experience in Logistics operations is a requirement, to include any of the following: receiving, warehousing, replenishment, product codes, picking, packing, and dock operations.
HAZMAT certification is preferred. Ability to achieve certification is required based on work assignment.
Functional/Technical/Physical Skills:
Critical thinking ability required to assess operational activities and performance trends for opportunities and/or improvement.
Proven capability to perform basic mathematical operations.
Must be able to comprehend verbal and written communication in English.
Must be able to clearly think, communicate, and work well in pressure situations.
Must be able to successfully multi-task with challenging assignments.
Must be physically able to climb stairs and/or crosswalks on the operations floor.
May be required to work at heights.
Maintain excellent safety performance.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position.
This position requires the ability to work mandatory overtime to meet business needs either within the day and/or the weekend and business operates on multiple shifts. May be required to work on holidays.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Work environment could include exposure to varying air temperatures seasonally impacted.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Medium: Requires exertion of 21 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 11 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires about 6 or more hours of intermittent standing or walking in an 8-hour workday. Sitting may be required only intermittently and occasionally. Stooping is usually required frequently.
