We are seeking a Senior Web Developer (Drupal experience) to join our team for a new opportunity.
This role is REMOTE. Candidate must reside in the United States.
What you get to do.
· Provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support for ITA’s Drupal-based websites hosted on Acquia Cloud Platform.
· Ensure the availability, performance, and security of ITA’s web assets, including Trade.gov.
· Perform Drupal core patching and module updates to maintain security compliance within Acquia Cloud.
· Manage and update Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), HTML, JavaScript, and other front-end assets.
· Optimize Drupal themes, templates, and user interfaces for improved user experience.
· Troubleshoot and resolve website performance issues, security vulnerabilities, and content-related errors.
· Work closely with ITA stakeholders to implement content updates, UI/UX improvements, and accessibility compliance.
· Implement security best practices for web development, including secure coding, access control, and vulnerability remediation.
· Maintain Acquia Cloud environments, ensuring adherence to Acquia best practices for hosting and deployment.
· Develop and document technical processes and workflows for ongoing web maintenance and enhancements.
Required Skills.
· Minimum five (5) + years of experience in web development, including Java, CSS, and Drupal.
· Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
· Must be a U.S. citizen.
· Hands-on experience with Drupal development and administration, including patching Drupal core and managing Acquia Cloud environments.
· Strong knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
· Experience in troubleshooting web applications, addressing security vulnerabilities, and maintaining website uptime and performance.
· Familiarity with Acquia Cloud tools and services, including Acquia Cloud Site Factory, Acquia Search, and Acquia Dev Desktop.
· Knowledge of Drupal theming, custom module development, and content architecture.
· Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment strategies.
· Ability to work in an Agile development environment, collaborating with designers, developers, and stakeholders.
Required Certifications:
· Acquia Certified Developer - D10
· Acquia Certified Cloud Pro
· Additional certifications in web security, cloud hosting, or DevOps are a plus.
