Role Overview: In partnership with the Head of Events, assist with planning and execution of 200-2000 person events that drive user acquisition and brand awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
Month one: Outreach and coordination. Identify social chairs and initiate outreach, attend meetings with hosts, ownership of notes and logistics, timely follow-up, event setup and execution, develop and maintain partnerships with local organizations, work with city launchers in new markets.
Month two: Plan and organize events. Follow-up with key partners and confirm events and activations, follow budget and guidelines given by Head of Finance, track expenditures and connect to ROI, ensure smooth execution of process, attend and work the events, track best practices and learnings.
Month 3: Expand network and accelerate growth. Liaise with contracted talent buyers and graphic designers, network through existing partners, identify new opportunities for different types of activations, layer in events during soft months.
Qualifications:
1-2 years of event planning experience, familiarity with key markets
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Fluency with Slack, Coda/Notion, Excel, Social Platforms
Works well under pressure and able to meet deadlines
Has a growth mindset, is curious, responsible and can work autonomously
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and follow-up
Flexible working schedule, work nights and weekends and travel out of state as needed
