Our Technical Leads understand a broad range of technologies and know how to leverage the skills of their team to build great things. As such, they are the influencers, planners, and leaders of one or more agile engineering delivery teams. They are key participants in the delivery organization management team, overseeing the work of other technical Leads and development team(s), mobile application software developers, backend software developers, DevOps engineers, and software quality assurance engineers across the business. Our Technical Leads take ownership of Design and User Stories supplied by UX and Architecture teams at the beginning of the project and become the recognized expert of required feature functionality for the project. They work closely with Project Managers to maintain realistic task schedules for which all technical resources are prepared and available to meet delivery deadlines. They drive our project development teams and come up with innovative solutions to our clients’ problems. Additionally, Technical Leads in the Principal capacity produce technical designs and architectural specifications for the work their teams implement. As such, they have a broad understanding of mobile, web, layered and service-based architectures, design patterns, cloud, nonfunctional requirements, and infrastructure design. Our Technical Leads are heavily client-facing and can build a solid relationship with our clients to guide them through the technical journey aspects of the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze new requirements
  • Produce technical designs and lead one or more development teams in their implementation
  • Communicate the impact and effects of proposed solutions to client and team at a strategic, operational, and technical level
  • Provide guidance to platform (i.e. frontend, backend) Tech Leads
  • Coach and mentor colleagues on the development team
  • Interact and work with client, stakeholders, senior architects, developers, QA, and operations teams
  • Availability to engage with offshore (India-based) teams on a daily basis
  • Manage the deployment of code, databases and other assets, and thoroughly understand the impact of changes in the production environment
  • Maintain and update technical designs all the way through implementation
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Mobiquity and the client's executive leadership
  • Show thought leadership within Mobiquity, as well as in our clients’ organizations
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time and/or work on-site at client location

Requirements:

  • Expert-level proficiency (7+ years) design/development of mobile, web, and/or server technologies using a combination of languages using .NET, Xamarin, and Maui in one or more of the following:
    • Native & Hybrid Mobile Application Development
    • Back End Development
    • Web Development
  • Overall experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications and APIs
  • Solid understanding of Azure Cloud Infrastructure
  • Knowledge of AWS Cloud Infrastructure
  • Expert knowledge of Relational and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with Git or other similar version control systems
  • Proven skills in senior stakeholder management, communication, presentation, negotiation, leadership and coaching
  • Able to define strategies and achieve buy-in from stakeholders across all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Previous consulting or client service delivery experience in a project-based environment
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience leading a development or product team
  • AWS or Azure certification
  • Experience with JavaScript is a strong plus
  • Experience with Java is a strong plus
  • Previous experience designing non-functional attributes of a solution (e.g., security, scalability, reliability, performance, etc.) is a plus

Leadership Skills:

  • Ability to lead and work with a team of size 6-10 members
  • Ability to mentor, motivate, and encourage team members
  • Able to break down and communicate complex technical concepts and information concisely and in an easy-to-understand way
  • Effective at building relationships with clients, development teams, and Mobiquity team members
  • Ability to maintain the team’s focus on quality using metrics, standards, and best practices
  • Experience in handling or managing customer interactions and deliverables
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Excels at collaboration, problem solving, and facilitation skills
