Responsibilities:
We currently have a great opportunity for a Media Producer. The Media Producer is responsible for facilitating multiple phases of video media creation including project development, pre-production, production, post-production, and distribution for video and multi-media productions, Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) and live studio broadcasts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Shared Services Director, Marketing Communications Director, Studio Manager, Producer peers, Production Supervisor, studio clients, and other team members to develop and produce a variety of video media content for broadcasting, posting, and distribution.
  • Consult with clients on the overall vision of the production, including but not limited to script development, shoot locations, sets, and music.
  • Coordinate the planning and managing of studio resources and personnel with the Studio Manager and Production Supervisor.
  • Plan the framing and composition of scenes, and partner with the Production Supervisor to coordinate the work of the camera, lighting, and sound crews.
  • Take ownership of planning and performing of video post-production tasks, which include reviewing footage, making editorial decisions, file logging, rough cuts, audio adjustment, final editing, and distribution.
  • Edit footage segments and put together the sequence of the media. Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects. Create rough and final cuts. Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running of final product
  • Demonstrate customer service excellence by clearly and concisely communicating work status, methods, instructions, problems, requirements, options, and concerns with team members, managers, and customers. Address personnel problems that arise during the production process by acting as liaisons between dissenting parties when necessary
  • Participates in meetings with clients, team members, contractors, and others to exchange information, facilitate decisions, and/or provide updates related to production activities.
  • Supervise the progress of the project from production to post production. Adhere to project constraints such as budget and time.

Physical Risk. Regular exposure to risk that may require alertness, but with minimal precautions.
Physical Demands. Light physical effort. Routine handling of objects up to 20 pounds; prolonged (at least 50% of time) sitting, standing, keyboard or CRT work. May require periods of moderate discomfort due to noise, dust, lighting and/or other conditions
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, 3-5 years required experience working in a Producer position within the media production or broadcasting industry. Bachelor's degree in film, audio and digital video recording, editing or journalism preferred, including experience in the armed forces.
  • Experience working in a Producer position within the media production or broadcasting industry. Bachelor's degree in film, audio and digital video recording, editing or journalism preferred. Technically - must be able to shoot, light and edit. Proficient in Adobe Premiere, audio mixing, lighting, and color correction/finishing
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft software platforms such as Windows, Office Suite, and Internet Explorer.
  • Adobe Creative Suite equivalent video editing software experience
  • Knowledge of professional video production procedures, practices, techniques, and terminology; principles of analog and digital video capture; professional television production equipment operation including video cameras and recorders, audio recording equipment, file compression, video switching, character generation, graphics manipulation, lighting, and post-production equipment; proper handling and troubleshooting of broadcast quality video production and post-production equipment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with differing deadlines.
  • Applies intellect to understand what is needed for the organization and the customer to be able to learn and change at a rate consistent with what is required by their needs.
