Product Creation Leader

At Willow Innovations, Inc., our vision is to create a better world for moms. We are focused on identifying where moms need support in the motherhood journey, and building hardware- and software-based solutions around their needs.

In 2014, we created the first-ever cord-free Willow™ Wearable Breast Pump, revolutionizing the industry. Fast forward to today, we are building a portfolio of physical and digital products to solve mom's most meaningful problems and improve their lives.

Willow Innovations, Inc. sits at the unique and exciting intersection of HealthTech, FemTech, Consumer Goods, and Med Device. Our potential for scale and impact is extraordinary—we're just getting started.

We're looking for talented, passionate team players to help us deliver our mission and vision. If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!

As a PCL, you will guide the efforts of our cross-functional development teams as they create our next generation pump. The PCL's lead the development teams from product concept, to product architecture, prototyping, and through to mass production.

The PCL's are the technical owners of a new product and serve as the technical representative of the development team to the rest of the company. They guide, align and communicate team decisions, mitigate risks, and drive technical issues to resolution.

What You'll Do:

  • As a technical leader, you will be responsible for the development team bringing new products to market.
  • Foster a high performing cross-functional PD team through charismatic and energetic leadership
  • Keep the team on track, which means ensuring they are developing the right product, within all the established program boundaries (features, cost, schedule, quality, etc.)
  • Communicate when the program boundaries are violated, and then work diligently with the team to reconcile.
  • Responsible for regular reporting on the status of your program, and ensuring that the team is fully aligned with the current direction and goals.

What You'll Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience in consumer hardware product development
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-disciplinary technical development teams
  • Experience driving products into high-volume mass production with Asian contract manufacturers
  • Deep knowledge of hardware development best practices in two or more of the following areas:
    • Electronics, mechanics, system engineering, or embedded firmware
  • Willingness to travel within the US and Asia (sometimes with little notice) based on need in the product development cycle.
  • BSEE, ME or Physics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Passion for creating world-class products
  • Energy, enthusiasm and a relentless sense of ownership for the success of a project
  • Experienced in creating and fostering great chemistry for high performing teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with distributed teams
