Financial Analyst I

JOB PURPOSE:This position will take an active role in managing the direct bank account structure and external bank service relationships. Manage the overall bank account structure and day to day account service updates, administrator of treasury management services, and actively oversees card programs. Apply critical/logical thinking and analytical skills to assignments and duties. Utilize Excel, PeopleSoft, and other software applications/packages to create, maintain, and deliver reports. Gather, interpret, and understand data from multiple financial and non-financial sources for purposes of analyzing and reporting trends, variances, “what-if” / scenario analysis, and creating forecasts. Effectively present reports, analysis, and, at times, recommendations or potential solutions to partners, management, and external customers.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Able to interpret financial statements and perform standard financial statement analysis and statistical calculations2. Manages bank account structure and ongoing service-related changes to the company’s bank accounts. This role will work closely with external bank relationships.3. Acts as a system administrator for treasury management services across multiple banking partners.4. Primary administrator of the company’s corporate card program5. Performs meaningful financial analysis and reporting for external and internal clients6. Creates and generates accurate and timely financial reports and other supporting documents7. Reconciles reports, account balances, and financial data to supporting documents8. Performs variance and margin analysis; creates trend reports and analysis9. Performs “what-if” analysis based on multiple scenarios and correlation of multiple components10. Able to extrapolate and create forecasts / pro-forma of financial performance11. Prepares/formulates policies and procedures and prepares corresponding training material12. Able to interact, communicate effectively, and be productive when working with other disciplines within the organization (i.e. Operations, Clinical, Accounting) and third parties (i.e. auditors, contractors)13. Understands the operations of the business – terms, processes, and the effects on finance14. Understands the flow of financial data from operations, to subsystems, to PeopleSoft GL and reports15. Gathers, interprets, and understands data from multiple sources to analyze and report on performance16. Conducts research, formulates responses, and effectively presents/communicates (verbal/nonverbal) information and/or alternatives and recommendations17. Employs basic analytical skills – visualizes, articulates, and solves complex problems and concepts, and make decisions that makes sense based on available information18. Applies logical thinking skills to gather and analyze information, design and test solutions to problems, and formulate plans19. Utilizes creative thinking and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities for improvement in current business and reporting processes; proposes solutions20. Demonstrates honesty and integrity at all times21. Displays excellent organizational and time management skills; able to perform multiple projects/tasks22. Cross trains in other areas of the department including taking on additional responsibilities when needed23. Displays professional image under stressful situations including deadlines and multiple tasks/projects24. Maintains confidentiality of company information; Follows proper guidelines for distribution of data25. Appropriately utilizes all types of resources to perform job tasks effectively and efficiently26. Utilizes applications appropriately for all projects; Proficient in Excel (macros, functions/formulas)27. Maintains effective relationship with management staff, partners, and clients28. Implements partner relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-partner relationship and promote a high level of partner moraleKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:• Two years in public accounting, corporate accounting, or corporate banking• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications• PeopleSoft Experience preferredMINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:Bachelor’s degree with major in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldMINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:High School DiplomaADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)Accounting background or corporate banking experience preferredFamily Makes Us Stronger.
