About the Role
The Data Migration Specialist will extract, transform, upload, and clean customers' data as part of a successful migration into our software products up to but not exceeding 29 hours per week. This role requires written and verbal interactions directly with customers.

PTO: 1 hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked
Salary: $22.00-$24.00 hourly
Position Status: Part Time, Non-Exempt
The following states are approved as remote work locations for this position: AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IA, MD, MI, MO, NC, NY, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, WA. All other states are not in consideration for this role at this time.
What You'll Do
- Guiding customers through a standardized project plan for migration of their data.
- Equipping customers to extract data from their software tools, helping customers prepare their data for migration, contributing to customer meetings, answering basic support questions.
- Identifying and fixing data corruption issues, mapping customer data for upload, and basic formatting of customer data.
- Properly using tools for data migration and reporting any functionality issues in those tools, or the data migration process.
- Maintaining a working knowledge internal database schema and related software products by participating in team and company trainings.
- Partnering with Implementation Specialists in responding to customer needs, building a partner mentality to meet project expectations.
- Maintaining communication with customer contacts within reasonable response times, according to standard Customer Success guidelines.
- Identifying the need for, and promoting and explaining additional customer services.
- Contributing toward achieving the defined success criteria and outcomes for general initiatives in Customer Success goals, and tracking/reporting progress toward those goals.

REQUIRED
- 1+ year of experience in data maintenance.
- Teachable; able to receive direct, detailed feedback from leaders and other team members in order to become proficient in the role.
- Fast learner; able to absorb and retain knowledge around our software products, team processes and workflows, and internal tool usage.

- Proficiency in Excel.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
PREFERRED
- MySQL/MariaDB (Sequel Pro, Navicat), Docker, API, AWS, macOS preferred, but not required.
- Prior experience with Pushpay software products a plus.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in data-related field.
- 2+ years of customer service experience in data services or SaaS.
