PZ Cussons has an exciting agenda of growing Brands and introducing leading locally developed NPD. We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Category Development Manager to join our business

  • An exciting opportunity currently exists for a passionate and commercially sound Category Development Manager to join the commercial team at PZ Cussons
  • The Category Manager will work collaboratively with our Sales and Marketing team to bring category strategy to life with key customers

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide category analysis and recommendations across areas of promotion; distribution, pricing, product mix and profitability within the Business Planning Cycle

· Lead the customer range reviews across key customers with timely communication and involvement of all stakeholders

· Support brand and sales in the creation and post-launch assessment of NPD

· Support Sales teams in establishing strong partnerships with key customers via joint business planning and range reviews that incorporate shopper, consumer and category insights and solutions

· Gap analysis and identification of strategic initiatives to unlock future growth

About You:

The successful applicant will be passionate about Category management with experience;

· crafting simple stories, and actionable recommendation from complex data (strong in the use of Nielsen/Aztec software)

· Analysing brand P&L’ s to make commercial sound recommendations

· Ideally you will be working in a similar Category Development role or as a Category Development Analyst (3+ years’ experience within FMCG is highly desirable)

· You will need to be comfortable in front of customers and senior leadership, with the ability to lead and influence internally and externally

· You will be a proactive, self-starter who is comfortable working autonomously as well as within and leading cross functional teams.

· And demonstrate strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask
