Our Data Business Analyst will take ownership for leading the Data Business Analyst practice, working as part of an Agile BI delivery team to facilitate the end-to-end capture and delivery of information solutions at Jetstar.

Key responsibilities:

• Analyse raw data and build meaningful stories and reports
• Support and cater data requests from the business
• Conduct and Lead Business Requirement gathering sessions to collect in depth firsthand business problems
• Create scope for Project and necessary artefacts required. Set the correct timelines and expectations after discussion within the team
• Develop proof of concept BI models and prototypes to prove solution feasibility
• Undertake detailed research and analysis and translate requirements into accurate epics and user stories with acceptance criteria
• Establish the tools, templates and procedures required to provide a high level of support BI Analysts at Jetstar
• Be the first point of User Acceptance testing before handing it over to business
• Partner effectively with our stakeholders to elicit and document business objectives, processes, scope and specific use-cases that will drive product development
• Active participation in product backlog prioritization and product planning processes
• Lead the acquisition and profiling of new data sources 
• Act as a member of the Agile delivery team, supporting the technical and architecture functions with respect to core solution development, coordination of acceptance testing and release management.

You'll have:

• 6 - 8 years of data analysis/business analysis experience (preferred)
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related Information Technology discipline (preferred)
• Experience with querying on databases like SQL Server 
• Strong data analysis and querying skills
• Experience in data testing, reference data management and data quality processes
• Hands On experience on MSBI Stack
• Experience in generating detailed BRD, LLD and HLD artefacts
• Knowledge on Cloud technologies(AWS, Redshift etc) will be added advantage
• Exposure to structured and unstructured data technologies
• Certification or comparable experience in an Agile environment (Scrum/Lean)
• Sound stakeholder management and Business engagement skills
• Experience working in an outsourced/offshore BI development environment
• Applied understanding of Agile methodologies and ways of working.
