Job Type: Direct Hire

Pay Rate: Up to $65,000 (Negotiable for the right candidate)

Shift: 1st Shift

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shop Foreman to supervise and manage all aspects of production at our facility. The ideal candidate will ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products, develop a competent workforce, maintain safety and cleanliness standards, and oversee preventive maintenance programs. This position requires a hands-on leader capable of coordinating cross-functional teams and maintaining a productive and efficient work environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise all stages of production from job release to shipment, ensuring all necessary job analysis and information is available.
  • Review jobs upon release to identify problems, missing information, or issues that may affect production. Communicate any potential delays or issues to management before production begins.
  • Coordinate with management, sales, engineering, purchasing, and the production floor to schedule jobs for timely completion, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage workforce scheduling, including field crews, to ensure projects are completed on time. Be proactive in understanding staffing needs and planning accordingly.
  • Oversee and develop a skilled workforce, including mechanics, laborers, and truck drivers, working with lead personnel to improve performance, work ethic, and quality.
  • Establish and implement a quality program to reduce errors, mistakes, and overruns, ensuring a higher quality product for our customers.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly facility, both inside and out, working with the safety committee to ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Initiate and manage a preventive maintenance program for equipment and vehicles, ensuring the reduction of downtime.
  • Prepare an annual budget for equipment, tooling, upgrades, and other necessary production-related expenses.
  • Oversee the storage and organization of raw materials and commercial inventory, ensuring everything is easily accessible, properly labeled, and stored.
  • Ensure that proper M2M data (hours, quantities, completed/scrapped items, etc.) is collected and reported to management.
  • Enforce company policies and ensure adherence, including administering verbal and written warnings and taking disciplinary actions as needed.


Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or foreman role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a production environment.
  • Experience with scheduling, production planning, and quality control programs.
  • Ability to work with various teams and departments to ensure smooth production processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.


Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for long periods and move around the production floor.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual tasks when necessary.
  • Comfortable working in a shop environment with equipment and machinery.
