Quality Assurance Inspector (QA Inspector)

JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Quality Assurance Inspector

DEPARTMENT: Quality Assurance

CLASSIFICATION: Seasonal [40 hours of work per week, Monday to Saturday]

HOURLY PAY: 16.50

LOCATION: Lompoc, CA

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Be a team player with ability to be adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced continuously changing environment. Must be dependable and reliable and have strong interpersonal relation skills. Able to lift 10-30 pounds. Must be able to maintain a valid Driver’s License with the ability to be insured under company sponsored liability coverage.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Grades fruit according to Driscoll’s grading standards.
Understands concepts of Quality inspections and reporting of quality, including conducting holding test for Strawberries, Raspberries, Blackberries and Blueberries.
Good math and analytical skills
Ability to work and communicate independently
Inform and update the Supervisor and Manager of any situation that may need their attention or involvement in relation to quality and safety.
Communicates effectively with coworkers, receiving personnel, pre-cool personnel, sales, and admin staff.
Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with all product quality and food safety requirements.
Ensures protection of Driscoll’s confidential and proprietary information and materials.
Represents Driscoll’s in an ethical and business-like manner in all interactions with, co-workers, suppliers, customers and the business community at large.
Perform other duties as instructed by QA Supervisor.
