This role shall lead and support process changes within Varian's Quality Management System, specifically surrounding topics on Design and Development (Product Realization). This roles involves working with cross-functional and global teams, writing procedures, creating training material, working within technology software solutions, and enabling a community of product development teams.

In this role you shall enable business and product development teams to conceptualize, realize, productionize, and obsolesce cancer care products, services, and technology. You will work directly with subject-matter-experts in cross-functional fields and roles, such as Product and Project Management, Marketing, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, Research and Development, Manufacturing, Services, Supply Chain, Clinical and Medical Affairs. You will need to collaborate with your new colleagues during primarily the US (PST/EST) time zone, and frequently in the EU (CET) time zone, and occasionally in the Asia and Asia Pacific time zones. As a leader for process changes, you will facilitate projects, and as needed a project team of subject-matter-experts, to identify product team and stakeholder needs, such as pain points in the product lifecycle process or the technology solutions that enable them. Based on these needs you will be analyzing, creating, and implementing solutions, processes, and frameworks to standardize and enable product teams and the business to create and provide safe and effective cancer care solutions.
Your starting focus will be:
  • ISO 13485 Chapter 5 Design and Development (Product Realization) processes and related documentation.
  • Projects to create, optimize, and/or correct discrepancies within new or existing processes used by product development teams.
  • Integrate and optimize processes for content management systems.
  • Create training material or provide Instructor Led Trainings as appropriate.
  • Enable and sustain awareness and communication (Q&A, feedback) for a community of process users.
Requirements:
  • Must have experience working within a Quality Management System for Medical Devices.
  • Must have an inherent resolve to problem solve and continuously search for helping, enabling, and enhancing the customer or user experience.
  • Must have experience and an interest in authoring and creating technical procedures and documentation.
  • Must have a moderate knowledge base and skillset in the use of some technology platforms for product lifecycle management processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technical Field
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio)
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience working in Medical Devices field

The base pay range for this position is
Min $85,700 - Max $154,200
The pay wage range shown is based on the job posting's primary location. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
