Position Summary
Under general supervision, performs moderately complex inspection of standard parts, finished product, equipment, or materials. Performs audits to assure established standards of quality are maintained.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Perform routine calibration and functional tests on all types of finished products.
2. Test ANSI, Canadian and other specified test points related to product performance.
3. Verify nameplate, carton labels and other pertinent information.
4. Perform special tests for Customer First Articles and Internal First Articles.
5. Test network finished products following the sample size and working instruction available.
6. Run various load and performance curves.
7. Fill out various QC documents such as hold tickets.
8. Prepare monthly reports on First Articles failures during the test by Quality focusing on failure description, containment, and root cause.
9. Maintain the elements of the ISO9000 and Measurement Canada Accreditation requirements.
10. Prepare and issue customer specific test reports and test certificates.
11. Communicate with production management regarding the findings of routine audits performed, drive investigation on root cause.
12. Review the QC findings weekly, generate conclusive reports and discuss with the Quality Engineer.
13. Based on the QC findings, audit first pieces at the assembly lines.
14. Update test plans, working instructions and standard procedures being used.
Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Experience: 1-2 years
