Job Overview:

The Cyber Engineer is a full-time position providing support of our customer. The individual selected for this position must be a team player who takes full responsibility, is self-motivated, can work independently to meet overall company goals, and has excellent communication and collaboration skills. This individual will work closely with our customer’s engineering team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties associated with this position are:

  • Develop security architecture in support of multi-domain security requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for cyber security for working groups with customers.
  • Compile all artifacts necessary to complete the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for system authorization decisions.
  • Ensure capture of security architecture and requirements for engineering initiatives.
  • Support requirements development, design, integration, test and operations.
  • Participate in conceptual system designs development.
  • Evaluate systems to identify vulnerabilities and non-compliance with security requirements.

The successful candidate is required to have the following:

  • Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity (or equivalent experience in lieu of degree) with minimum of five or more years of relevant hands-on security experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI clearance (BI within 7 years)
  • Successful polygraph is required, current/existing polygraph is desired
  • Must have one or more of the following security certificates:  Security+, CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC Certifications
  • Understanding of the US Government’s Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Working knowledge of Service Now (SNOW), EVSS, UAM, HBSS, CONMON, and EITA
  • Excellent problem-solving skills that enable you to identify, analyze, and resolve problems in a timely manner, working both alone as well as in group problem solving situations
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with ability to explain technical and security concepts to both technical and non-technical resources
  • Experience conducting and documenting self-inspections, security control assessments, log management systems, auditing, configuration management and/or patching
  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests between security projects and greater business or customer needs
  • Willing to learn new tools, technologies, and regulatory requirements
  • Understanding and awareness of current developments in the prevailing global cybersecurity environment
  • Must have experience with NIST 800 standards, including 30, 53, 83, and 171.
  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503 and customer requirements.

It is preferred that the successful candidate have the following:

  • Experience with SaaS security and AWS.
  • Knowledge of the Zero Trust security framework
  • Solid working understanding of TCP/IP, operating systems, and common security vulnerabilities and attack techniques.
  • Bonus points for experience working in a security operation center (SOC) and configuring SIEM and logging systems.
  • Knowledge of and ability to capture program security milestones within the IMS.

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
