Field Applications Technician

We are on a mission to enable American manufacturers to onshore production and bring jobs back home. Enabling this mission is Rapta’s highly configurable, AI software platform that automates the deployment of vision-based AI systems for manufacturing, inspection and QA. 

To support this mission, we are seeking a Field Applications Technician to join our growing team. This role, reporting to our CMO, is open to candidates based in Oregon. 

Position Responsibilities: 

Onsite customer training: 

  • This role involves travelling across North America to the customer's site to perform training and support as required. 
  • Become the expert of our software to help drive customer success and evangelize our software. 
  • Deliver train the trainer programs. 
  • Provide technical support as required. 

Kitting and customer system preparation 

  • Assembling industrial parts into customer kits. 
  • Installing Linux OS onto PCs. 
  • Configuring industrial cameras and computers and deploying software. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Well-presented and personable with excellent communication skills and an eager and curious mind. 
  • Be an awesome human being who is humble and knows it takes a team to win and deliver. 
  • Close proximity to our office in Lake Oswego, Oregon as this is an on-site position when not travelling. 
  • Handy with basic hand tools. 
  • In a position to travel extensively as required across North America. 
  • US Citizens only who can pass a full background check. 

Bonus Qualifications: 

  • Experience with Linux systems would be highly advantageous. 

Job Type:

Full Time with travel up to 50% of the time.
