We’re looking for an Interim Head of Communications to join our global Marketing and Communications team. With our existing VP of Communications and Marketing taking parental leave, we are seeking a communications expert for a one-year contract.

In this role, you work closely with the global Marketing and internal communications experts, drive Reaktor’s external communications strategy, lead PR and media relations, and support leadership, business, and key specialists with communications expertise, messaging, and hands-on work.

You can work on-site at our Helsinki office couple days a week.

You will:

  • Execute the overall external communications and marketing strategy in alignment with company objectives.

  • Increase brand awareness in relevant markets and target audiences, strengthen brand affinity, and maintain consistency across campaigns, sectors, markets, and touchpoints.

  • Manage public relations, including media relations and external societal engagement.

  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives with communications.

  • Prepare for and manage crisis communications, ensuring consistent company messaging and collaborating with relevant risk management team stakeholders during crises and issues management.

  • Lead the global Marketing and Communications team, ensuring overall strategy and team success.

To thrive in this position, you’ll need:

You are a strategic thinker with a robust background in communications. Your proactive and self-starter approach and excellent communication and collaboration skills in Finnish and English complement each other.

  • Proven experience in B2B communications: A track record of success in executing communications initiatives in complex environments

  • Strong understanding of communications, PR and media relations, crisis communications, strategic messaging, storytelling and content creation

  • Ability to think strategically and develop communications initiatives that align with business goals

  • Ability to think at a high level and implement hands-on – you still love to write yourself, too!

  • Structured planning and budget management skills with an ROI-driven mindset

  • Dutch, Swedish and German skills are considered a plus, but not a requirement

Why join us?

  • The ability to impact how you work

  • A community with as much support as your heart desires

  • A team that’s not only experienced but considerate as well. Your coworkers are likely as experienced as you are, and they all want you to succeed

  • A sustainable work-life balance and support for your daily life outside of work

  • An opportunity to grow as a professional. In addition to the day-to-day work, you can participate in internal training courses and community events if you wish

  • Various hobby clubs, from winter swimming and running to knitting and arts, that bring people together outside of (and sometimes inside) office hours. Many of these are supported by Reaktor

Interested? Drop us a line – We'll be happy to hear from you!

Please send us your CV or an application highlighting your communication skills. We’re ready for the role to start as soon as possible.
