DevOps Engineering Lead with Series C Startup (Fully Remote)

Who are you?

Ideally, you are a technical leader with expertise in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Node.js., excels in architectural decision-making, actively contributes to the codebase, and drives technical excellence. You should have a problem-solving approach, prioritize impactful solutions, and leverage AI for innovation in a fast-paced environment. Mentoring and clear communication of technical solutions are also key. You should be passionate about secure, scalable systems with a strong grasp of secure coding practices, threat modeling, and compliance (GDPR, SOC2). You have worked in previous startup environments and understand some of the nuances therein.

Here are some of the qualifications:

* Around 7 years of software development experience (2+ years in a team lead/leadership role preferred)

* Advanced proficiency in React, TypeScript, API design, and data modeling (Both relational & noSQL).

* Experience leading teams in high-performing, cross-functional environments (in-house vs. overseas preferred).

* Prior startup experience, understanding nuances therein.

* Strong mentorship and coaching skills

* Experience building and maintaining cloud native applications

* Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern testing frameworks.

* Proficiency in AI-assisted development

* Skilled at defining and tracking engineering metrics

* Hands-on keyboard type who can own the codebase.

Bonus points for:

* Experience using infrastructure-as-code tools

* Experience leading an engineering team in a high-growth startup

* Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration tools
