The Regional Human Resources Manager is responsible for serving as a business partner by providing professional-level human resource support in the areas of performance management, conflict resolution, management advisor and coach, and employee advocate. This person is responsible ensuring all Employment Laws (federal, state and municipal) are followed for their assigned region.
Responsibilities
- Partners with managers on employee relations issues and ADA accommodations for employees; including coaching, feedback and assistance with performance improvement plans and/or termination recommendations, ensuring due diligence given to risk factors; conducts investigations as needed.
- Executes company communication and content including newsletters, benefits information, safety reminders, policy reinforcement, available resources, etc. for assigned districts and region.
- Provides background and documentation in support of unemployment cases through a third-party vendor and represents the company at any hearings for assigned region, partnering with reporting management and Employee Relations.
- Manages the exit interview process for departing employees, partnering with HR team members to gather information related to reason for leaving. Identifies trends and concerns for escalated review and action.
- Assists managers with annual performance review process. Ensures consistency with ratings and known performance issues.
- Partners with Managers and Corporate HR with departing employees.
- Serves as the Regional Employee Events Committee Chairperson; organizes and oversees employee events; negotiates contracts; maintains the annual employee events budget and reconciles expenses across all regional sites.
- Serves as a Corporate culture ambassador to maintain a positive, inclusive work environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management or a related field required
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible HR experience in a generalist capacity.
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience, managing direct reports required.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook. PowerPoint) and Visio required
- Multi-State knowledge of Employment Laws required
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and advanced knowledge of Yardi scripting and Yardi report types (scripted, YRS, FillDocs, & SSRS).
- Strong staffing, development and appraisal skills
- Ability to travel at least 70% of the time
