Systemic Bio is a 3D Systems subsidiary based in Houston, TX, focused on the development of human vascularized organ and disease models to be used for drug discovery and development. Founded in August 2022 with a $15M seed investment from its parent company, Systemic Bio is using its proprietary bioprinting and organ-on-a-chip technology to accelerate drug development timelines, increase clinical trial success rates, and eventually put an end to animal testing.

As a Research Associate, you will:
- Work with the Systemic Bio team to develop and test new products pertaining to our organ-on-a-chip platform
- Test and improve product workflows
- Run cell-based experiments that validate the function of organs and diseases developed with our technology

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in bioengineering, biology or relevant area of scientific research;
- Experience with design, execution, and analysis of diverse cell biology and tissue engineering experiments;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Extensive experience documenting, analyzing, interpreting experimental data;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Experience with 3D bioprinting preferred, but not required.
Skills:
- 2+ years of mammalian cell culture;
- 3D culture systems;
- L/D, IHC, RTPCR, histology and ELISA;
- Fluorescence and confocal microscopy;
- Mechanical analysis and characterization;
- CAD.
