Carry out independent, systematic, well-organized research work, as well as work as part of an interdisciplinary team;
Performs fieldwork, laboratory work, data analysis, data interpretation and write scholarly publications;
Trains and supervise graduate and undergraduate students;
Disseminates research finding at the local/regional/national/international level through conferences and workshops; and
Participates in grants proposal writing for extra mural funding.
A Ph.D. in Environmental Soil Biogeochemistry or Soil Science or similar.
We are searching for a highly motivated candidate who has a good background with experimental studies on terrestrial and wetlands biogeochemistry;
Ability to carry out independent, systematic, well-organized research work as well as work as part of an interdisciplinary team;
Ability to train and supervise students;
Strong record of scholarly publications;
Excellent written and oral communication skills;
A strong and visionary team leader; and
Excellent critical thinking skills.
