At Rice Engineering and Computing, we’re solving for greater good.Our school ranks among the top 20 undergraduate engineering programs (U.S. News & World Report) and is strongly committed to nurturing the aspirations of faculty, staff and students in an inclusive environment.Position SummaryUnder the direction of the Assistant Dean of Marketing and Communications, the Marketing Manager will primarily serve as a leader in strategic marketing and communications planning as a liaison between the school's communications team and individual departments. This role will meet regularly with their assigned departments to discuss current marketing and communications needs, creative strategy, marketing goals, deadlines, budgets, deliverables, etc. to help drive the communications team's work and meet departmental objectives.Ideal Candidate StatementThe ideal candidate is a creative marketing strategist with a passion for promoting engineering excellence. Skilled in leveraging websites, social media, press releases, and events, they drive brand visibility, attract prospective students, and highlight faculty research and student achievements. With strong project management and collaboration skills, they lead impactful campaigns and ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms.Workplace RequirementsHybrid position: This is a remote work position (resides in Houston) with occasional requirements to be in-person on campus.
