Position: Chief of Staff
Reporting to: CEO
Location: San Francisco (Onsite)
Our client is a venture capital firm focused on Series B software companies, managing a $200M core fund and a $150M pre-fund. They run a concentrated strategy, executing 3-4 deals annually with a focus on SaaS companies generating $5-10M in ARR. Their operating-intensive approach involves leading investments, taking board seats, and being the most value-added investor on the cap table.
They are seeking an ambitious, execution-focused Chief of Staff to work directly with their CEO. This is a unique opportunity for someone looking to break into venture capital while making an immediate impact through high-level strategic projects and operational excellence.
Drive execution of key strategic initiatives across the firm
Manage and enhance LP communications, including monthly updates and annual general meetings
Lead the development and execution of their go-to-market summit
Build and manage their advisory network
Oversee critical relationship management and contact organization
Take ownership of projects from ideation to completion with minimal oversight
Collaborate with a team of experienced investment professionals, including principals, associates, and operational team members
4-7 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, or high-growth startups
Strong project management and execution skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
Proven track record of taking initiative and driving results
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, low-context environment
Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred
Self-starter with strong organizational and analytical skills
Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment
Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
Strong interest in venture capital and technology
Experience with or exposure to SaaS businesses preferred
In-office presence in San Francisco required
Expected to work 50-60 hours per week
Highly proactive and self-directed
Comfortable operating with significant autonomy
Strong attention to detail and follow-through
