Be a True Builder®.The Graphic Design Specialist designs and produces graphic art and visual elements for company marketing and communication collateral. This role supports the marketing and communications team, as well as other departments, ensuring document and collateral designs are aligned with brand standards and follow best practices. The graphic design specialist must be collaborative and understand the importance of creating graphics and visuals that align with company brand standards while also communicating company messaging.YOUR DAY-TO-DAY: (Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.)• Design and produce graphics and visuals for marketing and communication materials, including sales collateral, internal and external communication, as well as any other departmental or company collateral as needed.• Work collaboratively with marketing and communications team members, departmental leaders, and other internal clients to deliver high-quality graphics and visuals that support brand standards and company messaging.• Implement thoughtful design practices throughout the entire creative lifecycle, from initial client meetings through final design deliverables all in a timely and accurate manner.• Work with marketing and brand manager to continually expand and refine company brand standards.• Work collaboratively with the asset management team members to ensure graphics are continually added to the visual database.• Work with the marketing and brand manager to manage the visual brand and communication strategy (along with the Communication Department) using a variety of media.WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job)• Minimum two years of experience in graphic design as well as a degree in graphic design, fine arts or a related field. Graphic design experience with an AEC firm a plus.• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills, a positive, team-oriented attitude, and a professional demeanor.• Excellent understanding of graphic design and visual storytelling strategy and implementation methods.• A strong eye for composition and layout, and an excellent understanding of visual storytelling strategy.• Detail-oriented, with an ability to collaborate with various departmental leaders and team members to develop graphics that ensure brand consistency across the company.• Team player who can work well independently and work collaboratively with other team members and any outside resources.• Excellent project and time management skills, attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.• Strong technical skills and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office on either Mac or PC.• Knowledge of digital presentation layout software (Microsoft Powerpoint, Canva).• Portfolio that showcases versatility, creative solutions, high levels of detail and an understanding of design and aesthetic trends.Robins & Morton is a privately held construction firm based in Birmingham, Alabama, with offices in Charlotte, Dallas, Huntsville, Miami, Nashville, Orlando, San Antonio, Tampa and Raleigh-Durham.
