MOTION GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Our clients include Edge, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, &Juliet, New York Botanical Garden, YMCAs of Greater New York, and many others.Reporting to the Chief Creative Officer, the Motion Effects Designer is a full-time exempt position that is based in New York City.WHAT YOU’LL DO:• Create visually stunning motion graphics for a wide range of projects• Collaborate with Creative Directors and content producers to develop concepts and storyboard ideas that effectively communicate the brand message• Create 2D and 3D designs, collaborating with internal teams to create designs, concepts, and animations for multiple activations• Maintain and advanced knowledge of software and trends in this field• Learn technical requirements to translate complex ideas into creative narratives• Develop a content strategy that is aligned with the client’s goals and target audiences• Maintain consistency in visual style, brand guidelines, and storytelling across all motion graphic projects• Take ownership of projects from concept to final delivery, ensuring work of the highest quality that meets all established timelines and budgets• Adapt quickly to client feedback and revisions, implementing changes as needed to meet client goals and expectationsWHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:• 3 - 5 years of experience in 3D and motion graphics (entertainment background is a plus).• A demo reel or online portfolio demonstrating a track record of delivering highly creative and effective motion graphic content.• The ability to effectively communicate concepts, present storyboards, and convey design rationale.• Have an excellent eye for design, color, composition, and typography• Attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills.• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop• The ability to own projects from concept to completionWHAT WE OFFER:• A competitive salary between $62,400 – 70,000 commensurate with experience.• A generous PTO policy• 1/2 day Summer Fridays• 100% employer-paid healthcare for employees• 100% employer-paid dental care for employees• Flexible working hours• Hybrid position: minimum three days per week in office• WFA for set weeks during the year• Training and Development fund per employee• Paid parental leave to a maximum of 12 paid weeks• Student loan repayment assistance (or tuition assistance) with years of service• Paid sabbatical with years of service• Pet-friendly officeA Note on Diversity and Inclusion At AKA, we believe our team is at its best when we reflect the diversity of our community.
