Media Monitoring Specialist

ROGERCO, Inc. (RCI), a cybersecurity, technology services, critical infrastructure protection, information security, and communications services company, is seeking a conscientious, detail-oriented Media Monitoring Specialist to join our team supporting the Navy. This individual will be responsible for the timely collection, formatting, reviewing and disseminating of relevant news clips for our client. Please note, this is an overnight position, with working hours being 10PM to 6AM EST. This position is fully remote. 

Specific responsibilities will include: 

  • Using Feedly, Google Search and other methods to monitor and collect news clips, averaging 70 to 100 clips per day, depending on the news cycle. 
  • Reading major news publications and trade media to gather applicable news. 
  • Compiling and formatting selected news clips into a single file using Microsoft Word. 
  • Editing and proofreading compiled reports to ensure accuracy and proper style. 
  • Distributing daily news clip reports to the designated distro list. 
  • Correctly archiving completed news clip reports for future access. 
  • Complete “Special Event News Clips” packages as needed. 

  

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of three years providing media monitoring or related services 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint 
  • Understanding of Navy work, priorities and history 
  • Strong research, editing and proofreading skills 
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills 
  • Ability to work from 10PM to 6AM EST
