Our team is on a mission to delight merchants in every aspect of their journey from discovery to onboarding to being a Route customer, and more. We own a portfolio of products to help merchants such as Route.com, Merchant Portal, and numerous e-commerce platform integrations that empower our merchants to enhance their customer's shopping experience.We love data and experimentation because they fuel our innovation and drive the evolution of our products.Our diverse team is our greatest asset, fostering a fun and dynamic environment while tackling various challenges. Animated GIFs on our retro boards are a must!The opportunityWe are seeking an experienced Staff Full-Stack Developer with a focus on front-end technologies to elevate our systems. You will provide architectural guidance on both existing and new products. A key priority is evolving our merchant dashboard, enabling partners to easily configure Route’s multiple products and quickly understand the positive impact we deliver. Route.com, pivotal in acquiring new customers, now aims to leverage A/B testing to better understand customer needs. Additionally, our numerous e-commerce platform integrations are essential for the growth of our expanding mobile user base. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for optimization and innovation, ensuring our systems remain robust, scalable, and resilient.What you’ll doDesigning and implementing user interfaces for the merchant portal, ensuring usability and responsiveness.Collaborating with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.Integrating front-end components with back-end services and APIs to enable seamless data exchange.Integrating with external systems and APIs to enable functionalities such as product recommendations, package tracking experiences and shipping protection.Enhance our integration with popular e-commerce platforms (ie. Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce)Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other developers to align on project requirements and priorities.What we’re looking for7+ years as a full-stack developer proficient in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.Extensive experience with React (preferred), Vue.js, or Angular for building complex web applications and SPAs.Expertise in state management (Redux, MobX).Familiar with CSS-in-JS (Styled Components) or utility-first CSS (Tailwind CSS).Experience with e-commerce platform APIs, PHP, and WordPress.Strong OOP skills with Go (preferred), JavaScript, Python, or Java.Proficient in cloud technologies, particularly AWS.Skilled in IaC tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.Experienced in RESTful API development and integration.Proficient in unit testing (Jest, Enzyme, React Testing Library).Familiar with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus).Equal opportunity for allRoute is an Equal Opportunity Employer. In addition to cash compensation, all Route employees are eligible to participate in Routes equity incentive plan to receive stock options per the terms of the agreement. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their career level, skills, experience, specific geographic location qualifications and other job-related reasons.
