Location: Chicago, ILHospital: Rush University Medical CenterDepartment: IT InfrastructureWork Type: Full Time (Total FTE between 0.9 and 1.0)Shift: Shift 1Work Schedule: 8 Hr (8:00:00 AM - 5:00:00 PM)Rush offers exceptional rewards and benefits learn more at our Rush benefits page .SummaryThis position is for a full-time, Systems Architect with 5 years of professional experience to advise on design and development of cloud strategies utilizing various methodologies and tools across the three major public cloud vendors (AWS, Azure and GCP). Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.Responsibilities• Leading teams of technical and business professionals through architectural design, development and deployment of cost effective and sustainable Cloud infrastructure and application solutions to meet unique client business requirements.• Develop and implement solid, scalable and flexible solutions to support Rush migrating and transforming from on premise to cloud solutions.• Partner with vendors to help draft proposals, providing effort estimations, and participating in client presentations.• Provide high-impact content to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs related to Cloud Services and Cloud Strategy.• Understand and champion cloud lifecycle management, help evolve the business to expand this footprint.• Lead cultural change for cloud adoption.• Developing and coordinating cloud architecture for Rush & ventures.• Developing a cloud strategy and coordinating the adaptation process.• Establish best practices for cloud across the company.• Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol and firewalls• Knowledge about Virtual Machines and Container concepts.• Knowledge of Security as it relates to Cloud Environments including the Shared Security Model• Knowledge of automation tools.• Understanding of HA architecture (clustering, RAC, ADG, fail over etc.), multiple DC architecture, multi-cloud integration• Selecting cloud providers and vetting third-party services.Requirements• Bachelors degree or 4 years equivalent work experience.• 5+ years of experience across the entire enterprise application layer architecting solutions.• 3+ years of experience conceptualizing and architecting cloud solutions and migrating on-premise based environments to cloud.• Experience supporting proposal development, RFP responses, and expansion initiatives.• 3+ years of experience in one or more prominent cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google).• Experience with Agile methodology.Preferred Job Qualifications• Experience with MCP, MCSE on Windows 2008, 2012, and 2016 is preferred.• Security, Privacy, and Regulatory/HPIAA Compliance• Healthcare Environment ExperienceRush is an equal opportunity employer.
