Job Description
ENSCO, Inc has an immediate need for a Safety Manager (SM) to oversee its Occupational Health,
Safety and Environment (OHSE) and railroad safety programs.
The SM is responsible for oversight of all aspects of our corporate and operational OHSE programs and railroad safety programs. These aspects include ensuring compliance with applicable regulations; maintaining safety program policies and procedures; ensuring appropriate safety and first aid equipment is available at ENSCO facilities; arranging, conducting, and tracking employee training; management of the training record management system; monitoring employee adherence to safety program requirements; conducting facility inspections and supporting resolution of findings; evaluating and reporting on working environments; the handling, reporting, and tracking of safety incidents; ensuring Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are properly maintained and stored; and managing the company safety helpdesk hotline.
The SM routinely interfaces with Surface Transportation Group (STG) personnel, ENSCO corporate facilities, and human resources groups in the fulfillment of these responsibilities. The SM provides routine briefings to STG and corporate management and reports to the STG Quality Manager.
This position is based in Springfield, VA with occasional (approximately 15%) travel to ENSCO facilities and railroad sites nationwide.
