The tools accounting departments use to synchronize their books with vendors and customers are horrifically antiquated, manual, and burdensome. Most financial professional teams are stuck in a daily world of manual emails, phone calls, PDFs, and manual-entry. The Sage Network automates tasks like sending invoices and waiting for payments, connecting all users, whether they use Sage software or not, into one seamless system. This platform allows businesses to handle accounting tasks effortlessly, providing quick business insights and making financial management much easier. It enables smooth transactions with customers, suppliers, banks, and other stakeholders, revolutionizing the overall efficiency of accounting processes. The Sage Network Developer Experience (DevEx) is how we enable developers inside and outside of Sage to create their applications within the Network by means of our APIs.Your Mission:Design the experience of how any developer on earth can tap into the Sage Network Platform by way of APIs. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to define end-to-end developer experience from ideation to launch.What Sets This Role Apart?• Strategic Priority: Sage Network is our future - this is a chance to shape the experience from its inception, providing high visibility and frequent engagement with stakeholders.• Startup Culture: The Sage Network product team operates like a startup within Sage, allowing you to move quickly and make impactful decisions. You’ll also join a large cross-functional team of product managers and dedicated engineers.• Innovative Tools & Collaboration: Work with Figma and collaborate with the Sage AI Engineering Team, leveraging AI and machine learning to enhance user experience.• Empowered Team: Join a team of 5 Product Designers and 2 UX Researchers, 1 Product Content Writer, and your Product Design Manager who are all empowered by the Director and VP to do what they do best and are highly invested in their development and success.Tech stack:You’ll work with Figma and expand (or gain) FinTech experience.Meet Your Manager & TeamYour immediate colleagues will be 5 other Product Designers 2 UX Researchers and 1 Product Content Writer. You'll be reporting to a Product Design Manager, who trusts and also empowers the team to do what they do best. The Sage Network squad acts like a start-up; they are given the reins to move quickly and make decisions. You’ll join a larger group consisting of product managers and dedicated engineers.Location: Open to 100% remote within the United States only. Ideally based in the EST zone or must be willing to work EST business hours.Minimum Qualifications - Is this you?• 4 years of experience as a Product Designer with at least 1 year focused on designing for the developer experience such as API integrations, developer onboarding, and/or app management tools within a software marketplace or similar platform.• Your resume contains a link to a relevant case study for our review.• You’re a Figma power user.• You can provide examples of how you’ve collaborated with researchers, built user flows, early wireframing concepts, and prototyping.• You’re known for being an effective communicator who can clearly articulate design decisions and rationales, with a ‘show early and often’ mentality.• You deeply value working with others to achieve a common goal.• You believe in being kind and having fun at work.What You’ll Do:• Seek to develop a deep knowledge of the user base (accounting application developers) and apply a UCD (user-centered design) approach to iterating on the design based on user feedback.• Partner with your UX Researcher colleague to assemble data about how developers engage with our products, document your findings, design end-to-end experiences, and create prototypes to explain your designs.• Work closely with your design counterparts, PMs, and engineering to foster an exceptional collaborative environment and deliver effective solutions.• Participate in design critique sessions, design jams, and design systems meetings to help improve not only the design but also challenge your peers to keep enhancing their crafts.• Track industry trends and competitive landscape to contribute to strategic product design.Perks? For this role, the salary range for new hires is USD$84,000 to USD$140,000. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in a bonus plan (15%) based on company and individual performance. The range listed is just one component of the Sage total compensation package.
