THE ROLE

We are looking for an established high performing Sales Manager that will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that maximize the hotel's revenue and occupancy levels in Greenville, South Carolina and Alexandria Virginia. The Sales Managers will target Business Transient, Leisure, and extended stays. To be successful in this role, the Sales Manager should have strong sales and marketing skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and industry partners.

This role is required to be onsite at the Greenville, South Carolina property and travel to Alexandria, Virginia every 8 weeks for sales blitz's tours, and networking opportunities.


AT MINT HOUSE YOU WILL

  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities for purposes of maintaining and further developing the Mint House's sales pipeline
  • Create a sales pipeline through proactive outreach to prospective clients utilizing a combination of networking at local industry events/conferences, client meetings, email campaigns and online marketing
  • Communicate value proposition of Mint House's portfolio as the preferred accommodation for short and extended stays that align with corporate client needs and requirements for stays and events
  • Develop lasting, positive and productive relationships - securing referrals and testimonials that lead to new business opportunities
  • Continue to build a distinctive brand and strengthen relationships in our growing market
  • Negotiate contract terms and create long term relationships for recurring bookings and loyalty
  • Partner with Revenue Management to ensure our extended stay, group, and business transient segment focus is competitive
  • Participate in weekly meetings with the broader sales team to discuss brand positioning, forecasting, and all aspects of the sales process to build out Mint House's footprint
  • Responsible to meet and exceed revenue goals and continue to upsell and build a book of business for stays and group events in conjunction with the Regional Director of Sales
  • Conduct sales tours at our Mint House Greenville - Downtown properties as well as travel to Alexandria, Virginia when business dictates

WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • At least 4 years of hospitality sales experience; previously achieved optimal occupancy and ADR growth to maximize total revenue at a boutique hotel or similar environment
  • Preferred: Track record of success in driving great revenue outcomes in Greenville market at boutique hotels and non-traditional accommodations
  • Notable experience to leverage network to identify account prospects that are an optimal fit for Mint House in order to increase revenue and further increase brand awareness and Mint House as the preferred accommodation
  • Proven track record of closing mid-size and large top tier travel brands
  • Knowledge of developing and executing sales and marketing objectives and strategies required
  • Experience with OTA extranets (Expedia, Booking.com, Airbnb), OTA Insights, STR, Agency360, or open to learning new systems and sales enablement tools
  • Energy and dedication. Mint House is transforming the traditional hotel model and defining a new category of residential hospitality. The Mint House team believes deeply in this mission and invests the time, energy and effort needed to make it a reality
  • You're known to rise to the challenge and are goal-driven strategy setter; eager to grow the Greenville and Alexandria Market

Compensation: $75,000 with Quarterly Bonus Plan
