Job Purpose

To manage multiple major accounts including airline, regional airline and MRO customers. Actively promote, sell, and secure new business including major accounts while also growing existing accounts. Develop full market potential with all customers by cross-selling and expanding business relationships with key stakeholders within each account. Promote product line acceptance among accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish customer business relationships and maintain top level contact with key stakeholders including the management of existing and potential customers
  • Ensure customer concerns, inquiries, and/or complaints are addressed and resolved promptly
  • Communicate and drive interest with the customer in AkzoNobel’s aerospace coatings and “cutting edge” finish technologies
  • Understand the customer’s requirements and changing needs to proactively identify AkzoNobel products and/or services to address customer pain points
  • Work with the customer on forecasting and share this and other pertinent account information including account activity with management
  • Ensure proper pricing is communicated to the customer, address any discrepancies, and ensure the customer account is in good standing
  • Attend seminars and trade shows as determined by management
  • Stay apprised of new products and technologies, as well as competition activities and communicate internally

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in Outside Sales, Inside Sales or Account Management; preferably in Aerospace, Airline, or MRO industries
  • Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred
  • Ability to professionally write or verbally deliver correspondence while adjusting the delivery to effectively communicate with all levels of management, peers, and/or customers
  • Must be a self-starter and have effective interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Must have analytical reasoning and problem solving skills with the ability to think on your feet
  • Must possess basic computer skills and be proficient at using Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • The salary range for these skills is: $91,000 – $101,000
