About the job

The team is looking for a Sr Cloud Platform Administrator to design, analyzes, acquires, installs, monitors, optimizes, operates, modifies, configures and supports infrastructure, operating systems, databases, system management utilities and Internet/intranet-related tools

As a Cloud Platform Administrator, you will:

• Provides SAS software support for assigned products, including installation, maintenance, documentation, customization, and utilization of product features. 
• Writes and/or modifies system software routines and programs. 
• Prepares and conducts system and programming tests requiring interfacing of hardware and software. 
• Diagnoses and resolves user and operational problems with software and hardware. 
• Responsible for root cause analysis and suggesting solution options to the customers based on findings 
• Develops and reviews procedures to ensure the security and integrity of all systems and data. 
• Modifies, maintains, debugs, optimizes and updates software, such as compilers, link editors, assemblers, macros and subroutines, as well as software defined compute (hypervisors), storage and network.  
• Develop tools and software to manage SAS and third-party software.   
• Engineers, architects, installs, and configures operating systems and complex system software 
• Architect system automation for consistent and reliable deployment of complex

Required Qualifications

• Eight years of experience writing programs in more than one language required.
• Five years of experience in end user and system administrator consulting or providing other first-level consulting required
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of programming languages, operating systems, utilities, services, and editors for assigned area 
• Career level of technical knowledge of the internal workings, diagnostic tools, and features of complex systems  
• Aptitude for visualization of solutions for problems 
• Ability to solve data processing problems
• Ability to script or write software programs that acknowledge the peculiarities of the underlying machine architecture  
• Excellent written and oral communication skills 
• Ability to work well with others and to problem-solve
• Ability to independently learn how to use new facilities quickly from supplied documentation 
• Ability to communicate in Spanish (intermediate level)
