Overview:
Our scene layers team focuses on allowing users to quickly share scalable 3D content and use it in all ArcGIS apps such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS API for JavaScript, and ArcGIS Earth. This team works to quickly build and grow new functionality around the open, OGC-standard I3S specification, allowing our users to do more with their data at each release and unleash The Science of Where in all three glorious dimensions!
Don’t worry about getting bored-we will keep you challenged! As a product engineer, you will help us test and improve scene layer caching workflows and the development of internal and external visualization tools for I3S. You will work to take sharing and deployment of scene services using I3S to the next level by improving our automated deployment and test harness automation. We are working on new 3D capabilities across the platform, including desktop, server, and web, and we’re constantly looking for ways to improve and release I3S technology even faster.
Responsibilities:
- Tooling to write and extend the i3s specification documentation

SDK documentation, samples, and tutorials

Learn existing product technologies and troubleshoot production issues in current and past software platform versions

Collaborate with development programmers and product engineers to build and test functionality for current and future 3D scene layers

Build and maintain test scenarios that validate ArcGIS scene layers technology

Work closely with other teams to assure integration of scene layers into the platform
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience using C++
-
Analytical problem-solving ability

Good organizational skills

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
Recommended Qualifications:
- Experience using C# and WPF

Familiarity with Esri ArcGIS platform technologies

Knowledge of 3D visualization techniques and how to test them in different environments

2+ years of experience with web technologies such as JSON, REST, or JavaScript

Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field

Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $72,800.00 - $124,800.00.
