Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Scheduling & Events Specialist, the Scheduling and Events Specialist is responsible for assisting with the scheduling needs of the university related to the Campus Center, Sadler Center, and other spaces that Student Unions and Engagement (SUE) oversee in processing over 25,000 event and room reservations annually.
Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Schedule and process space requests via the Accruent Event Management System (EMS).
  • Assist recognized student organizations with events and meetings held in SUE-managed spaces including Sadler Center, outdoor venues, and classrooms.
  • Process all event-related paperwork including building work orders and associated billing.
  • Publish related communication on the website through social media outreach.
  • Triage special requests for marketing and non-traditional events.

Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience performing a variety of administrative duties in an office setting.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling (events, appointments, or other.)
  • Demonstrated organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the proven ability to work with diverse constituencies.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-high school education such as an associate or bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in higher education with student engagement (leadership development initiatives, and student activities, programs, and services).
  • Experience with event scheduling.
  • Knowledge of the university’s EMS (Event Management System) Accruent, or an equivalent system.
  • Knowledge of Cascade (or an equivalent web content management system.)

Advertised Pay Range
$35,000 to $42,500 commensurate with experience

  • This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position may be subject to overtime during high peak times, etc. as directed and approved by the supervisor.
