About this role

Scribe and the Growth team are expanding, bringing new challenges and opportunities as we scale, including increased specialization. This is a thrilling opportunity to be the pioneering backend engineer on the Growth team at Scribe! This is an area for outsized impact, on both the company and our user base of 700,000 organizations (and growing fast!).

The Growth team owns many of our key company metrics, drives our company culture of rapid experimentation. A significant number of our experiments center on the billing component of Scribe. As the lead backend engineer you will have the opportunity to shape the architecture of this system.

The right backend engineer will be passionate about solving problems for the end user, building efficient systems that help Scribe support scale both in terms of user base and product features. Together with your growth teammates you will build the future of our product.

You will contribute to the design of our systems, help build our engineering culture and work with our fullstack/frontend engineers and PMs to increase the velocity of the BML (Build-Measure-Learn) cycle.

You could be a great fit if

• You have 5+ years of engineering experience
• You have a deep understanding of Django
• You are a strong advocate for automated testing
• You have seen and are able to implement engineering best practices
• You are user-centric, empathetic, and passionate about your work

Bonus

• Experience building the financial component of a system
• Experience with AWS + Terraform
• Startup experience (not required, but we build and move fast!)

Compensation

$160k-$200k USD salary + Equity + Benefits
