Job Description

About the role

As an Associate Security Engineer (Pentesting), you will be a key part of our offensive security team, contributing to practical and impactful security assessments. You’ll help ensure the safety and security of our customers' and users' data by identifying vulnerabilities and implementing solutions.

This role is perfect for someone who loves solving security puzzles and is excited about building expertise in a hands-on environment while making a real difference.

Under the guidance of senior team members, you’ll have the opportunity to develop and refine your skills through direct involvement in various security assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Code Reviews for Security Vulnerabilities: Conduct thorough reviews of application code to identify potential security flaws, vulnerabilities, and weaknesses in design or implementation.
  • Network Security Testing: Perform assessments to identify network vulnerabilities and weaknesses. Participate in penetration testing to find flaws in network infrastructures.
  • Web Application & API Penetration Testing: Execute penetration tests to assess the security of web applications and APIs. Identify and exploit vulnerabilities to help improve system security.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Compile clear, concise, and actionable reports on your findings. Clearly communicate vulnerabilities, their impact, and recommended mitigations to stakeholders.
  • Collaboration & Skill Development: Work closely with your team members to learn and develop fundamental security assessment skills. Collaborate on technical challenges and grow through mentorship and training opportunities.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience

  • A keen interest in information security with a desire to learn and grow in the field.
  • Exposure to security tools and techniques, including penetration testing tools, code review software, or vulnerability scanning tools, is helpful but not necessary.
  • Experience working with modern programming language such as Python, TypeScript, Go, Rust, etc. is preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and analytically.
  • A team-oriented mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to document and explain findings clearly.
