The Senior AP Accountant is a key contributor in the Finance organization who owns the Accounts Payable process. This role will build out processes and systems, and assist with the processing, accounting, reconciliations, analysis, and reporting related to AP operations. He/she is an accounting professional with experience in a fast-paced private or public company environment who has demonstrated experience supporting the accounting function to meet the needs of a changing and growing business.
- Own the overall AP Process, applying a thorough understanding of the business

Enter invoices, properly coding them with the appropriate information

Review all invoices for required documentation and approval prior to payment

Respond to all vendor inquiries, reconciling all vendor statements, correcting any discrepancies

Process expense reimbursements, ensuring spending is within Company policy

Assist in month-end close, preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations

Maintain vendor records, keeping information current

Assist in the preparation of 1099s

Assist in maintaining regular contact and building solid working relationships with various groups to ensure a high level of customer service

Assist on projects and ad hoc assignments as needed
- 5+ years of AP/AR experience, experience in life sciences a plus but not required

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with expense processing systems. Netsuite, Coupa, and Concur are nice to have

Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication, while maintaining collaborative and professional relationships in a teamwork based environment

Exceptional organizational and planning skills and a meticulous attention to detail with proven project management abilities.

Experience with working with cloud based and collaborate tools such as Google Suite of products (Sheets, Docs)
The expected, full-time, annual base pay scale for this position is $84K- $111K. Actual base pay will consider skills, experience, and location.
Based on the role, colleagues may be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan tied to company and individual performance, or an incentive plan. We also offer a long-term incentive plan to align company and colleague success over time.
