About the Role:

The Corporate Events Senior Specialist is a key contributor role with Tipalti’s North America marketing team. The role supports the logistical execution of mid and large-scale third party tradeshows in North America. The Corporate Events Senior Specialist will work across departments with the greater Field demand marketing function to execute effective programs, as well as portfolio and partnership marketing, design, and sales teams.


The successful candidate will have the ability to build strong connections with key stakeholders, balance multiple competing priorities in a fast paced environment, think strategically, analytically and creatively, executive effectively, and have very strong attention to detail. This individual will have a successful track record of strengthening valuable partnerships with sales, design, and product marketing teams to deliver projects with heavy cross-department participation.

This role reports to a Senior Corporate Events Manager, and will be based in either San Mateo, CA; or remote Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; New York; Toronto, Ontario.


Role & Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute a mix of in-person and virtual field events and industry events to drive qualified leads and generate/nurture opportunities for Sales & Alliances teams and deepen our existing customer and partner relationships
  • Strategize, build, and execute integrated demand-gen campaigns and programs that include events (both physical and virtual), email marketing, direct-mail marketing, digital & social, audience-relevant content, advocacy programs, customer success stories, and other elements of the marketing mix
  • Vet and qualify new events and conferences to scale the existing corporate events program while managing vendors, budget, and ROI reporting
  • Align with the Portfolio Marketing team to incorporate solution positioning, product launches, roadmaps, personas & industry messaging, sales enablement tools, etc into event plans
  • Work in conjunction with ABM Manager, to deploy an ABM (Account-Based Marketing) approach to marketing strategies, plans, and deliverables
  • Identify insights and ideas that inform our field marketing strategy by becoming an expert on our industry, customers, prospects, and competition
  • Collaborate with our Field Marketing team to strategically plan and execute ancillary events to help drive ROI
  • Attend and manage field event & industry event programs, including implementation of a pre-event strategy and post-event follow up both internally and with prospects/customers

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years years of experience in field marketing, event marketing or production
  • Experience working at a B2B technology company, preferably SaaS or enterprise B2C
  • Must be able to travel 40% of the time (as live events return)
  • Ability to build strong partnerships and influence outcomes cross-functionally
  • Excellent communication skills both internally and externally
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Detail oriented and the ability to adhere to tight deadlines
  • Obsessed with creative and design - experience in building experiential design/marketing elements
  • Experience in scaling participation in third party tradeshow sponsorships
  • Strategic and outcome-oriented mindset in the planning and execution of a high-impact marketing plan
  • Crisis management skills with a solution oriented mindset. Must be adaptable to change and feedback
