What You Will Do

This position is the leading social media expert within Goodway, both internally and externally facing. As an informed, insightful expert in this space, you will achieve this by:

  • Clearly understand the client's business challenge, desired outcome, and the audience most likely to contribute toward the client achieving their outcome and how to translate this into an opportunity/strategic plan.
  • Consult directly with key clients and drive the social strategy in partnership with the Strategy, Planning & Research, Client Experience, Media Activation and Analytics team.
  • Provide high level oversight of the social strategy and insights for key clients, including QBRs and annual plans
  • Conduct in-person strategy sessions and workshops for key prospects and clients and provide ongoing support in solutions development and implementation.
  • Proactively communicate market and client needs and feedback to Marketing, Tech, and Analytics to fuel product development.

  • Lead both clients and internal teams with a vision for how social media should evolve based on consumer trends and privacy considerations
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to create best-in-class social expertise and work needed to win and grow clients.
  • Take a central role in new business pitches as they arise
  • Use our suite of syndication tools, reporting and industry trends to analyze consumer mindset/sentiment across social channels with an understanding of how client competitors affect marketing performance - Spot early market trends to which we can align client campaigns; Know which products to feature when, and where; Identity, new white space opportunities before anyone else; Surface the most effective messages in our client's marketing campaigns.

Who You Are:

  • You have a BA/BS and a minimum of 10 years of Social Media strategy experience in full-funnel strategy and activation for Paid, Organic, influencer and content tactics
  • You have a demonstrated record as a thought leader in the social media space.
  • Strategic Expert: You have strategic expertise across a range of social media platforms, including (but not limited to) Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Linked In, Pinterest, and Tik-Tok.
  • You are an early adopter when it comes to quickly building an understanding of the audience and business opportunities for advertisers within new platforms. You have previously led large social media campaigns for clients with a Paid Social budget of $10MM+
  • You have previously worked in a capacity where you worked closely with platform representatives understanding where there are opportunities (testing, beta, etc.) that strategically align with clients' objectives.
  • In addition to awareness metrics such as brand lift and engagement, you have a method for measuring and forecasting direct response KPI's like customer lifetime value (LTV), client/customer acquisition cost (CAC) and ROAS
  • You can develop an intimate knowledge of the client's business and take a consumer-centric view in strategic planning. You are the go-to expert for our internal teams and client partners.
  • You can connect business objectives to a cross-channel marketing strategy and identify how a client can best leverage social media marketing within their overall program.
  • You can measure media performance to determine the extent to which the original objectives and strategies were met. You dive into the data, identify trends, and apply learnings.
  • You stay up to date on the latest social trends and share knowledge, learnings, and expertise with internal team members and clients.
  • You can roll up your sleeves and develop a point of view of how social media impacts and is impacted by various points of client marketing. You are regularly on the platforms to discover the inner workings and nuances for yourself. You also understand how to leverage all the necessary tools and resources to produce new or creative solutions for our clients and as a strategic advisor on social with internal team members.

Things You Should Know

Our workdays can sometimes be long and unpredictable. You should be comfortable and capable of sitting and/or standing at a desk for at least 8 hours. Twice per year, we gather to work and play for a week (virtually or in person). Both retreats are "can't miss" events.
