Senior Program Manager - Verathon®

Verathon ® is looking for a Senior Program Manager to become the newest member of our Program Management Office (PMO), Team located in Bothell, WA

We are looking for a Senior Program Manager to join our Program Management Office (PMO) and lead larger, strategic cross-functional programs and projects across the global Verathon organization. This role is hybrid and based at our global headquarters in Bothell, Washington. In this position you are responsible for the setup, management, and implementation of project deliverables for a wide variety of implementations ranging from Lean-focused process improvement initiatives to enterprise-wide, highly cross-functional projects and programs. Skilled proficiency in Lean tools such as leading process or value stream mapping and chartering/leading Kaizen events, is a key requirement for this position. You are also helping to evolve the program management best practices and standard work across the company, managing the active prioritization process for upcoming strategic projects and programs.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Process Improvements
  • Within assigned program efforts:
    • Works with cross functional teams to charter and run process mapping events to map out current state processes and facilitate and prioritize opportunity areas
    • Presents gap analysis to management sponsors and develop recommended course of action to Lean out (simplify and eliminate waste) current processes and mature towards an ideal future state.
  • Assists in recommendations for sequence of portfolio efforts and impacts across multiple cross functional areas.
• Project/Program Management
  • Develops charters, roles and responsibilities documentation, requirements, and project schedules for assigned program efforts. Leads requirements analysis, implementation planning, and project governance with business owners.
  • Manages risk assessment and escalation for awareness and remediation with project owners.
  • Provides leadership for leading change management component of key efforts working closely with learning, communications, and other key internal competencies to successfully prepare the organization for operational excellence once the project is implemented.
  • Create and manage project teams and cross-functional teams supplying status reporting on completed programs to key stakeholders (internal and external). Works with project sponsors and leadership to identify and address cross-project dependences.
  • Perform and communicate project postmortems.
  • Establishes and maintains performance metrics to measure program success.

  • Identify opportunity areas for raising business acumen within Verathon for how to successfully drive change through the following disciplines:
    • Business Process Improvement
    • Project Management
    • Change Management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
• 7+ years’ experience managing large, complex, cross-functional projects / initiatives.
• 5+ years’ project management methodology experience.
• 3+ years’ experience leveraging Lean principles/tools within cross functional improvement opportunities.
• Proven familiarity with change management discipline.
• Experience with process documentation in addition to developing and creating key performance indicators to substantiate business benefits.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated problem solving methodologies required.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence teams to complete projects on-time, and within scope and budget.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and manage risk associated with achieving project goals across functional organizations. Direct experience in leading Kaizen events, specifically in process or value stream mapping to drive improvement.
• Strong leadership and followership across organizations.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects successfully.
• Outstanding organizational skills and use of daily visual management ideal.
• Experience in the health care industry a plus.
• Experience using Project Management software.
• Direct experience in, and a successful track record of global project management spanning.

Salary range - $130,000-165,000 (Compensation will vary based on skills, experience and location. If this position is filled outside the Seattle WA metro area, this salary range will vary depending on the specific hiring location.) Full-time non-sales employees are eligible for Verathon’s annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
