Position: Senior Project Manager/Business Analyst

Location: New York, NY / Remote

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $98,000 - $103,875. This midpoint for the salary grade is $122,400. Actual pay will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience.

Position Description:

The Senior Project Manager /Business Analyst role at UNICEF USA is a rare opportunity for an experienced manager of technology initiatives to support the establishment and implementation of a Project Management Office and Data Governance framework from the ground up. Reporting to the Director, Data Governance and Technology PMO, this position will manage project teams and stakeholders as well as the overall project life cycle on assigned engagements. When needed, this individual will also be required to perform complex business analyses activities in support of specific initiatives, programs or projects.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership abilities in project planning, resource management, scope management, business analysis and requirements gathering, and timely/effective responses to project changes and risks. This individual must be able to work independently while keeping business and PMO executive leadership apprised of project progress, and will be responsible for contributing to the growth and maturity of Program Management and Data Governance at UUSA by evangelizing the team’s vision, mission and value across the organization.

Key Responsibilities Include:

· Create detailed project plans and steward those efforts through each phase of the Software Development Lifecycle. Partner with business teams and PMO leadership to manage the project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.

· Where needed, directly execute development and maintenance of functional requirements for defined pieces of work. Lead and facilitate cross-functional team meetings, working sessions and focus groups to gather information needed for production of formal documentation.

· Analyze organizational needs and recommend pragmatic solutions to complex business challenges. Leverage problem-solving skills and sound judgement capabilities to make decisions that drive results and solve stakeholder problems.

· Closely monitor and record changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs, escalating when appropriate.

· Define, build, and manage overall testing and Q&A plans as part of the project delivery and quality control process. Lead user acceptance testing to secure final acceptance from business stakeholders.

· Consistently apply tools, templates, and methodologies for use in all major efforts. Track and Report on KPIs and project health, as well as business value.

· Coordinate internal resources and manage third party/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.

· Assist the Director or Managing Director on various activities related to major projects as needed.

· Support the coordination and implementation of data governance framework, flag data governance impacts of new projects and ensure integration of new terms and policies with existing resources.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and at least 4+ years of experience in non-profit technology projects and implementation, serving in both PM and BA functions.

Demonstrated ability to ensure quality at each phase of Technology projects from initiation to closure. Deep understanding of technology program management methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle.

Comfortable in a highly visible role with the capacity to easily develop stakeholder relationships and create trust.

Experience with Atlassian products and Agile methodologies a plus, ability to integrate multiple project management methodologies and apply as appropriate required.

Analytical thinker and problem solver able to navigate a high degree of ambiguity and flux. Able to assess complex situations and identify viable solutions that create successful outcomes.

Must possess current and valid US Work Authorization and be eligible to work for any US employer without sponsorship.
