Senior Product Analyst

Marco Polo is a video chat app created for one simple and significant purpose—to help people feel close.


We're currently seeking a Senior Product Analyst to join our Growth team to help us further understand the end-to-end customer journey and create experiments to inform how we continue to grow and engage our customer base. A great candidate for this role is a strong data analyst who has a passion for defining and evaluating data so the team and company can make well-informed decisions.


In this position, you will:

  • Define and analyze product metrics: You’ll define, report, and explore metrics to inform the success of the Growth team and help us increase customer conversion, retention, engagement and lifetime value. You’ll seek to unearth patterns in the data to inform us of new opportunities to help us make decisions and improve our Growth roadmap. 
  • Build and evolve experiments: You’ll work with the Growth team to design experiments based on hypotheses and past consumer behavior. As part of this you’ll conduct A/B tests on mobile and web features. You’ll be the neutral score-keeper on whether an experiment is successful and if we should pursue product changes at scale.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders: In addition to partnering effectively with teammates on the Growth team, you’ll work with Engineering, Product, Design, Marketing, and Finance to ensure alignment on the growth strategy, the metrics we use to measure success, and ways we can further our successes. As part of this you’ll provide support to the individuals who use your product analytics tools, ensuring they understand both the tools and the data.


Ideally, you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in quantitative data analysis, marketing analytics, or data science.
  • A strong track record of uncovering data insights to form a hypothesis, designing product experiments, evaluating results, communicating recommendations, and generating buy-in. 
  • Experience synthesizing disparate, and sometimes messy, data sources to drive to logical, concise and actionable conclusions. 
  • Expertise in working with BI tools (we use Amplitude) coupled with the ability to interpret complex data findings into actionable business insights.
  • Advanced SQL skills and the ability to work with large datasets.
  • Startup/E-Commerce/SaaS experience is a plus.
