We offerproducts and services which extend along the entire Rail Electrification valuechain to improve the quality of everyday life for millions of people worldwide.Position Overview:Our manufacturing facility in Louisville, KY seeks to hire awarehouse materials assembler to be involved with the movement of material throughout the production facility.Hours are 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday.What your day-to-day will look like:• Effectively communicate withPlanner, Supervisor and Peers• Pull and issue parts for shoporder kits• Distribute shop orders to floorupon completion• Update overflow location countsin SAP• Update material location in SAPfor parts• Print labels for bags and boxesfor materials• Unloads, receives, verifies, andcounts material delivered to the stockroom. Kits production work ordersfor release to the production floor.• Cross training will be requiredto cover business needs.• Performs cycle counting of allmaterial in the stockroom.To thrive in this role, you have:• Warehouse experience withmaterials• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel,Word, and Outlook• SAP experience (helpful but notmandatory)• Familiarity with cycle counts andmaterial management (e.g., location management)• Frequently required to use finemotor skills, assembling some small parts with excellent dexterity.• Ability to sit or stand at aworkstation for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.• Use hand and power shop tools.Certification of some tools and equipment may be required, such as craneand forklift operations.• Interact with and displayprofessional conduct with customers and coworkers• Meet internal Company standardsfor quality and workmanship.• Perform 5S activities andmaintain equipment in accurate working order, and improve work areacleanliness• Perform work safely and healthilyensuring deviations to standard work instructions that will lead toquality, efficiency, or safety problems are immediately identified.• May be required to work overtime,weekends, and different shifts as vital to meet business-criticalrequirements.• Must be able to work in afast-paced environment.• Cross-training will be requiredto cover business needs.Why you'll loveworking for Siemens!• Freedom and healthy work-lifebalance– Health, Dental, Vision Insurance, HSA/FSA, Commuter Benefits –starting Day 1!• We believethat each member of our team is accountable for making decisions, solvingproblems, and taking actions that contribute to long-term impact andfinancial success.• We do theright thing.
